Many years ago
When I had my first child, we made a commitment for me to stay home and take care of our daughter. God has always provided. As she grew, and our family grew, my husband and I decided to homeschool her for Kindergarten. It was so cool to watch her learn to read. It is just like when she learned to walk and talk. Being with her during her first years of school was fabulous.

That is so great that able to stay at home with your daughter! It is amazing to watch a child learn to read, especially your own! My son (Cody) will start Kindergarten when school starts back. He's very excited! I'm a book nerd, so I am always buying books! Too many probably, but Cody just loves it when I bring home a new book!
(I graduated high school in 1987.)
Lesley, It sounds like you have had a wonderful journey. When Reagan was born, I worked for my dad and was able to take her to work with me. I was there to watch her roll over, crawl and walk for the first time. That was 12 1/2 years ago and I remember them as if they were yesterday. Unfortunately, I never saw my self as a homeschooling momma! My hat is off to you. Best wishes with those second graders this next year.
It is wonderful to be able to stay at home with your daughter. There are a lot of wonderful things happening at this age and you can never get these days back again. Enjoy them. I will never forget the time I spent at home when my children were young.
Invest in them when they're young and you'll reap the rewards later. I believe that anyway.
I know you are wonderful teacher! All your students and your own kids are privliged to have you as a teacher
It is amazing to watch them learn. My 2 year old says something new every day.
What a blessing to be able to do what you've done with your own children. Now, it seems like God is having you move forward to bless others. Remember to "bloom where you are planted" for He has great plans for you and your second graders.
